The MONDAY MOMENT
you'll ACTUALLY WAIT for.
SEPT 2025
JJB/MASKS & MOCKTAILS
An interview with The Alpha...
Tonight’s guest has been waiting a long time for this moment. Two years in the making, and one of only seventeen products to earn a place in our facial collection over fifteen years.
Quietly prepared, carefully crafted, and finally ready to step onto the field.
Please welcome… The Alpha.
Q: Alpha, how does it feel to finally join the JJB lineup?
A: It feels surreal. I've watched some incredible products pave the way for years, and to be chosen now - it's humbling. I know I'm joining a great and established team, and I'm ready to support them and give our customers something they need.
Q: You know we have what we call our "Code of Conduct" for new products, and our listeners will get to read about that in The Making of a Product. But I'll sum it up - we don't launch anything new unless we've exhausted every opportunity to improve what we already have. Only when something truly special comes along does it join the collection. What does that mean to you?
A: This is truly a humbling moment. I couldn't believe it when they announced I'd be joining the line this season. And I know I'll be your go-to power move you'll reach for - not just once, but for many weeks, months, and years to come.

With special guest...
THEALPHA
Preorders begin Wednesday,
September 10, 2025
Official Launch September 30, 2025
Q: This fall brings its own challenges. What do you offer that’s been missing?
A: Seasonal change is always tough on skin. I'm what you might call the reset button. After summer sun, travel, and long weeks, when weather shifts from humid and hot to cool and dry, I'm the one you grab when a regular cleanse just isn't enough. I break the monotony and give you a clean slate.
Q: Fans already rely on JJB’s cleansing and treatment team - The Wash, The Exfoliant, and The Mask. They've been part of the core routine for more than 14 years. How does it feel to take your place alongside them?
A: It feels like joining a legacy team. These products have set the standard for cleansing and detox at JJB.
The Wash gets it right the first time, while everyone else is double-cleansing.
The Exfoliant and The Mask — they're the best of the best. I'm here to complement them.
I bring something different: scrub with bubbles, the in-between power move. Not every day, not every week, but when you need more than a cleanse and less than a full treatment, that's where I help support the skin.
Q: How do you see yourself fitting in with the others?
A: I see myself as support. Especially for serums - The Firm, The Serum, Retinol and Peptide - they nourish and feed your skin. I clear the way so they can do their best work. Together, the routine is elevated and I think it becomes complete.
Q: There are a lot of exfoliating products out there. What took two years to perfect about you?
A: Honestly? Getting the balance right. Most scrubs are too harsh or don't foam. Most foaming cleansers don't exfoliate deeply enough. I had to learn to be both - gentle physical exfoliation with fruit acids that actually work together, not against each other.
It took time to find that sweet spot where I could be effective without being aggressive. And if I made it here, it means I've been formulated to work.
Q: Would you say you're offense - breaking barriers - or defense, protecting skin?
A: A little of both. I break down what doesn’t belong within my scope of function. I'm a bubbly scrub - my fruit acids help to break up those clusters of dead skin cells that can leave skin bumpy, rough, dull, or lined. I go deeper than The Exfoliant, which is why adding me to your weekly or bi-weekly routine complements the others so well.
Gentle exfoliation actually protects the integrity of your skin, so the rest of the routine can perform at its very best.
Q: You almost got cut? How do you go from the point of almost not making it to being here today?
A: (blushes) Yes, that's true. What I know is that part of the Code of Conduct for new products includes what they call "function with minimal plastic." That means the least amount of plastic and still make it convenient for our customers. Their research showed many other products of this type are in plastic tubes, or plastic squeeze bottles, they have less fluid ounces of product, are at a much higher price point, and not nearly the quality of ingredients.
Following the Code of Conduct made it difficult to source packaging. They tried everything from jars, bottles, and pumps and you name it. I almost got cut because they knew they wanted me in glass, and they just had to figure out how to make it functional.
I mentioned before, I'm just grateful to be here, and knowing they did so much work to overcome packaging limitations and obstacles is one of those stories I'll be sharing for years.
Q: You bring up a good point about exfoliation. There's a lot of information on exfoliants saying that too much exfoliation can age your skin. How do you feel about this?
A: I'm so glad you asked and yes, I've seen all the data. In fact, before I made it past the first round 12 months ago, I saw all that data on how people are damaging their skin with these harsh exfoliants.
You'll get to see that I'm not using a stone, sugar, salt, or broken shells or other abrasive exfoliating materials. These tend to have sharp edges and over time cause way too much trauma to your skin, especially when scrubbing too hard. I will never leave your skin red and raw feeling. Nor will my team.
None of us are overly abrasive. We are using glycolic fruit acids to break up the glues that hold dead skin cells to your skin, plus gentle rounded jojoba beads and fruit and plant fibers.
Exfoliation products are only meant to assist your skin's natural exfoliation process - to help promote cell turnover. You shed a crazy amount of skin cells per day, something like 30,000 - 40,000, over your entire body, but some get stuck, pores get clogged, skin gets frustrated and sometimes angry. I come in and clear the way, just help keep it fresh.
Q: Are you an everyday starter, or called in for special plays?
A: Special plays. I'm not meant for every day — once a week is my sweet spot, preferably at night, but I'm flexible. You can still enjoy your weekly exfoliant or that once-a-month mask. I don't compete, I complement.
Q: You're not joining alone this season — The Me...BLEEP BLEEP...ga is also launching. How does it feel to have a debut buddy?
A: It's exciting! We've been through development together, and while we're completely different players, there's something special about making the team at the same time. The Me...BLEEP BLEEP...ga has their own superpower, and I can't wait for the customers to meet them too.
Q: Every great teammate has a signature move. What's yours?
A: Scrub with bubbles. That single step that makes you feel instantly refreshed — polished, radiant, and ready to go. When you reach for me, you can skip The Wash.
Q: Our motto is luxury without excess. How do you embody that?
A: By keeping it simple. But there's nothing simple about what's in my bottle. That was an amazing group of people making sure every ingredient, texture, and smell is exactly what you need. I'm not full of fillers or fads, just proven ingredients that get the job done right the first time. That's true luxury.
Q: Why is adding you to the line now such a benefit for our JJB fans?
A: It helps to have formulators and users of a certain age — all ages actually and needs. What I heard them say over and over again was that one of the things you all have in common is this thing called skin, the largest organ on your bodies. And regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, our skin has needs.
What they noticed for those entering the 45–50 year mark is that sometimes we need a boost. When you have used the same product for 5, 10, 15 years, and your skin is constantly improving over time, there are moments where you get a little stagnant or need a step up.
Our bodies are these wonderful and complex machines with this giant organ protecting our entire barrier. Talk about complex. There was a need for something more. And they created a path for me to show you what I can do.
Q: Preorders open Wednesday. What do you want fans to know before you step out?
A: That I'm grateful to be here. Remember, I'm the one you reach for when a regular cleanse just won't do. While I may take up a small space in your cupboard or on the counter, I'm worth it. And
I can't wait to meet everyone. I've heard such great things about the JJB customers and how they value simplicity and effectiveness in their routines.
And preorders start Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Can't wait!
